She took the DELE B2 SPANISH exam.
I picked her up at 14:25 (this is Switzerland) from school to drive her to the countryside where her scout pack had already set up tent for a weekend camp.

In the car, she wrestled with the seatbelt while changing into her scout uniform and discussing the test on the phone with a school friend IN ENGLISH.
Simultaneously reprimanding me IN ITALIAN because:

I was showing too much affection / ignoring her
I was asking too many questions /being too quiet
I was listening to the wrong music / "I love this song", turn it up
I though she was texting friend A when she was obviously texting friend B
I opened the car window / closed the window

I offered to pick her up after the camp
(apparently my taxi service is a privilege I should not abuse)
I put her bag in the trunk of the car
I asked her if she was hungry, twice

When we got to the camp, she hopped off the car after a swift kiss (that I probably did not return properly / ignored / made a big deal of / leave me alone), greeted her scout pack IN SWISSGERMAN and off they went.
Expat adolescence:
Just as annoying, but multilingual.

Ha dato l'esame DELE B2 di SPAGNOLO.
Sono andata a prenderla a scuola alle 14:25 (siamo in Svizzera) per portarla in campagna dai suoi amici scout che avevano già piantato le tende per un campo di tre giorni.
Nella macchina, lottando con la cintura di sicurezza, si è cambiata nella sua uniforme scout mentre discuteva dell'esame con una sua compagna in INGLESE.
Rimproverandomi nel frattempo in ITALIANO perché:
Ero troppo appiccicosa / la ignoravo
Facevo troppe domande / non parlavo
Ascoltavo musica di merda / "che bella canzone, alza!"
Credevo si stesse massaggiando con l'amica A ma invece era ovvio che fosse l'amica B
Ho aperto il finestrino / ho chiuso il finestrino
Le ho chiesto se alla fine del campo scout dovevo andare a prenderla
(il mio dovere di tassista è un privilegio di cui non devo abusare)
Ho messo il suo zaino nel bagagliaio
Le ho chiesto se aveva fame. Due volte
Cantavo.
Appena arrivate a destinazione è saltata giù dalla macchina dopo un bacio veloce (che probabilmente non ho ricambiato nel modo adatto / ho ignorato / ho esagerato / lasciami stare), ha salutato i suoi compari scout in SVIZZERO TEDESCO e via.
L'adolescenza expat:
Altrettanto insopportabile, ma multilingue.
